Valentus Specialty Chemicals is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is constantly working towards ways to keep our staff and facility safe by following guidelines put forth from the CDC and WHO. Our leadership team has been closely monitoring COVID-19 developments on a local, national and global level. We are taking every recommended action to minimize the potential risks to our employees and to ensure a sound future for Valentus.
As many of you are aware, Governor of New Jersey signed an Executive Order on Saturday, March 21, 2020, directing all residents to stay home except to engage in activities such as obtaining essential goods or services, seeking medical attention, visiting family, reporting to work, or engaging in outdoor activities. The Governor further ordered the closure of all non-essential retail businesses in New Jersey as part of the State’s effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. After reviewing the Governor’s order carefully, we have concluded that the Valentus North Brunswick site is not covered by the order and remains open.
During this time, we will continue to work with our partners to make progress servicing customers in supply chains for Chemical Manufacturing, Paint & Coatings and Hardware Stores. We are eliminating physical sales calls over the next several weeks, simultaneously maximizing efforts to serve our customers remotely. Our manufacturing and supply chains for both the North Brunswick, New Jersey and Jacksonville, Arkansas remain stable currently and we are taking the steps to prioritize the health of our employees and business partners…it remains our top priority.
We are also taking routine cleaning measures and practicing social distancing within our facilities. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, approved employees have been instructed to work from home effective immediately. It is our goal to run our business effectively, while taking ongoing precautions to protect our employees and customers.
While all our business continuity strategies are being put to the test and we are staffing our functions in a different way, we are open for business and want to help our non-retail and Essential Business partners stay in business as well.
